Pharmacy Switch Services for Red Lake Service Unit

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Indian Health Service (IHS), Bemidji Area intends to award a Firm Fixed Priced Contract on a sole source basis to Change Healthcare/Optum for Red Lake Indian Hospital, Red Lake, MN. The anticipated

period of performance will be a Base Year plus Four One Year Options. requirements, the Government intends to award a Firm-Fixed price Sole Source contract to Change Healthcare/Optum as only one source reasonably available due to proprietary data, licensing rights, and the ability to interface with the RLSU RPMS DOS system. Switching services are required when a I/T/U (Indian Health Service/Tribal/Urban) facility submits pharmaceutical claims electronically to third-party Drug Plans for reimbursement. Eligibility. Service must be able to submit pharmaceutical claims electronically from the RPMS computer system to third party Drug Plans for reimbursement. This service is specific to the systems in place at the RL pharmacy. There are no other vendors with the capability to provide desired service that works with IHS RPMS system.
