Requirement: Federal Prison Industries (FPI) is seeking to purchase one vertical baler, shipped FBO Destination, and installed at: Unicor Lompoc Recycling 3901 Kline Blvd Lompoc, CA 93436 SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS / WORK DESCRIPTION: The baler shall meet or exceed the following minimum specifications: Type: Vertical downstroke hydraulic baler Motor: Minimum 20 HP Cycle Time: Maximum 60 seconds per cycle Platen Force: Minimum 80,000 lbs compression force Cylinder Rod: Minimum 4 inches Bale Size (Approximate): Width: ~60 inches Depth: ~30 inches Height: ~48 inches Bale Weight: Capable of producing bales between 1,000–1,600 lbs or greater Electrical

Evaluation factors are price, technical capabilities, warranty and lead time. The Government reserves the right to require the quoter to submit additional information as necessary to support a determination of responsibility.

PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE: UNICOR’s desired delivery is as soon as possible. Vendors are required to provide their best delivery time for evaluation.
