They are used as a complete system to secure palletized cargo on HCU-6/E 463L pallets. These cargo nets are utilized by the U.S. Air Force, across the Department of Defense, and by allied partners. They are critical for air and ground transport operations on the following platforms: Aircraft: C-5, C-17, C-130, KC-10, KC-135 Cargo Loaders: Tunner, Halvorsen The nets are supplied by TAC Industries Inc, as designated under the Ability One Program. The central nonprofit agency facilitating this contract is Source America®. The Committee for Purchase From People Who Are Blind or Severely Disabled has the sole authority to determine the fair market price and conducts an administrative review of the final negotiated price for approval. This procurement was conducted in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 8, as the required supplies are on the Procurement List maintained by the Committee for Purchase From People Who Are Blind or Severely Disabled. This makes the Ability One Program a mandatory Government source.
