Description

United States naval and joint forces face unprecedented strategic competition, operating in an increasingly complex and lethal battlespace as near-peer adversaries rapidly evolve and increase their warfighting capabilities. Outpacing and maintaining a decisive advantage against near-peer adversaries are critical Department of War (DOW) imperatives. Mission engineering and integration are key enablers to achieve these

objectives, providing the overarching framework to deliver holistic warfighting capabilities to naval and joint forces at speed and scale. NIWC Atlantic seeks innovative and scalable solutions to modernize its mission engineering and integration outcomes. The

objective is to rapidly and continuously manage and analyze complex missions to discover gaps and vulnerabilities in current and future naval and joint architectures and identify, engineer, and validate holistic capability solutions to mitigate those gaps and vulnerabilities before they can be exploited. The core challenge is transitioning from traditional, static program management and engineering support to dynamic, data-driven methodologies that increase mission effectiveness and readiness through improved mission-based decision support and delivery of the right holistic warfighting capabilities at the speed of need.
