7) anticipates soliciting bids and subsequently awarding a single Firm-Fixed-Price contract for the Design-Bid-Build Temporary Compounding Area (DD Building) Project at the Ralph H. Johnson VA Medical Center located at 109 Bee Street Charleston, SC 29401. PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The Contractor shall provide all supervision, labor, equipment, and materials needed to complete work for project 534-24-902, Temporary Compounding Area (DD Bldg.) per the provided drawings, specifications, and this statement of work. Work will consist of demolition and renovation to construct a Containment-Segregated Compounding Area per USP standards. The project will require scheduling to minimize interruptions and facility impacts. Construction impact shall be minimized and mitigated in a way that limits disruption to the functioning of the Veterans Affairs Health Care System Ralph H. Johnson Main Facility (VAHCS). Scheduling and coordination with the VAHCS will be critical and must be approved by
Contracting Officer s Representative (COR) prior to work. ADMINISTRATIVE: The solicitation will be issued as an Invitation for Bid (IFB) conducted in accordance with FAR Part 14 and will be evaluated in accordance with the procedures listed in the solicitation. The solicitation will be advertised as a total Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) set-aside. Offers received from other than SDVOSB concerns will not be considered.
