Description

The Government intends to procure, under only one responsible source, where no other suppliers or services will satisfy the agency

requirements. The Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command, Hawaii (NAVFAC Hawaii) is conducting market research to determine if other potential products/services can provide a low voltage ship-to-shore cam-style receptacle and connector system with performance capabilities equal to that of the Duraline E1022 22 Series Ball Nose, Positive Latching, Single Pole Cam Type Connectors manufactured by Duraline, 11400 Parkside Dr. #300, Knoxville, TN, 37924, USA. The alternate product/service must meet the following

requirements/specifications: Provide a rugged, high-reliability low voltage cam-style connector system designed for ship-to-shore power applications in caisson and waterfront environments, with the following capabilities: Voltage and Current Rating – Rated for use in low voltage (600V) class systems, with a continuous current rating of 690A. Must be capable of handling marine and naval electrical loads. Suitable for ship-to-shore power transfer needs. Must have a low-resistance, high-conductivity contact interface. Physical

Requirements – Single pole, cam-type connector. Positive latching, ball nose design. Quick connect/disconnect option. Insulated housing with no exposed conductive parts. Ruggedized design suitable for harsh environments. External release mechanism operable with gloved hands. Environmental Sealing – Suitable for indoor and outdoor use. Resistant to moisture, dust and vibration. NEMA 4 or equivalent environmental protection. Cable Compatibility - Compatible with 250kcmil through 750kcmil cable sizes (or equivalent range). Field-installable or factory-terminated options. Compliance and Standards – UL 1691listed, UL 486A/B listed, color coded housings for phase identification.
