Background: Portland District project sites in Willamette Valley Project will use water monitoring system equipment to ensure compliance with the NPDES (National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System) permit program. The NPDES permit program addresses water pollution by regulating point sources that discharge pollutants into waters of the United States. The Clean Water Act prohibits discharging pollutants through a point source into waters of the United States unless an NPDES permit is obtained. Project Scope. This acquisition is to provide mission critical proprietary electrical equipment for the NPDES Project, specifically, Allen Bradley PLC equipment for the Willamette Valley Project. To meet the NPDES

requirements water sampling is needed at multiple dams. To collect and analyze this data multiple PLCs, modules and compatible ancillary equipment will be required.
