The FAA has a requirement to perform remedial action, demolition, and groundwater monitoring at the Federal Aviation Administration’s (FAA) former Nome FAA Station at various buildings. scope of work relieves the Contractor of their responsibility to comply with all applicable laws and regulations. - Contractor must review existing soil sample results and conduct an investigation to define the magnitude and the vertical and horizontal extent of PCB contamination in soil at CT Pond 3 - Contractor must review existing sediment sample results and conduct an investigation to define the magnitude and the vertical and horizontal extent of lead contamination in soil at CT Ponds 2 - A the conclusion of excavation described in Section 4.3.1, the Contractor must collect subsurface soils samples via 4 test pits or soil borings to delineate DRO, PAH, and VOC exceedances to the south and west of the primary excavation - Prior to completion of remedial action at the Buried Debris Area the Contractor must collect 2 surface water samples from the water filled excavation area. Surface water samples must be submitted for laboratory analysis of RRO, DRO, GRO, PAHs, VOCs, PCB’s, dioxins, RCRA metals (dissolved and total).
