Each post in the seamless tube set must telescope enough to expand the internal spine from a width of approx... 2-1/8” to a width approx... 3-5/8”. Easy-Lock binder material mechanism must incorporate seamless metal tubes. Tubes with seams are not acceptable. Each set of seamless tubes should be about 4-1/4” inches apart. NOTE: the lever for opening and closing the mechanism is to be positioned at the top/front of the binder to prevent abrasion on shelves and possible bending or breakage of trigger. Checkering: A 2” wide checkering zone (0.005” minimum depth) near the backbone shall extend full height on the front and back covers to enhance gripping.
