Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility (PHNSY & IMF) is issuing this sources sought synopsis as a means of conducting market research. PHNSY & IMF is seeking capability of a qualified contractor for the VA-Class Diesel Engine wire harness replacement (Mfr: Caterpillar model 3512B). Please provide a capability statement indicating your ability to accomplish the statement of work, supported by evidence such as past performance, certifications, etc. See attached draft Statement of Work for more details. The applicable North American Industry System (NAICS) code assigned to this procurement is 336611 and the size standard for this NAICS code is 1,300 employees. The is J020 – Maintenance, Repair, and Rebuilding of Ship and Marine Equipment. This request for capability information does not constitute as a request for proposals. The result of this market research will contribute to determine the method of procurement. Submission of any information in response to this market survey is purely voluntary. The Government assumes no financial responsibility for any costs incurred. To be evaluated for technical merit and capability, statements must be received by the stated deadline.
