Description

A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACTTHIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALSPrepared in accordance with FAR Part 5The Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA), Northwest Regional Office (NWRO) on behalf of the Southwest Regional Office (SWRO), (OJS) District IV intends to enter into a sole source firm-fixed price contract with the University of New Mexico for autopsy and forensic pathology services under the authority of FAR 6.103-1 and 41 U.S.C. 1901. (OJS) District IV requires autopsy and forensic pathology services. Autopsy and forensic pathology services are required for four (4) agencies in theSouthwest Region to determine the cause of death for individuals in cases where the cause is not related to natural causes or where human remains have been found. These servicesare necessary to accurately determine the cause of death in homicide, suicide, unattended death investigations and the discovery of human remains. The University of New Mexico provides these services for the entire State of New Mexico. All Law Enforcement Agencies across the state rely on the University of New Mexico for these specialized services. The University of New Mexico is the only responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency

requirements. No solicitation is available and no technical
