This proposed contract action is to procure Glucose Accu-Check® Testing Strips for Central TX VA HealthCare System Ancillary Testing Department. Base Period: 09/15/2026 - 09/14/2027 Option Year 1 : 09/15/2027 - 09/14/2028 Option Year 2: 09/15/2028 - 09/14/2029 Option Year 3: 09/15/2029 - 09/14/2030 Option Year 4: 09/15/2030 - 09/14/2031 Code: 6550 NAICS: 325413 Government intends to award a BASE + 4 fixed-price option contract to Roche Diagnostics Corporation, 9115 Hague Rd., Indianapolis, Indiana 46250. This acquisition is conducted under the authority of 41 U.S.C. 1901 Simplified acquisition procedures as implemented in FAR 8.405-6(a)(1)(B), only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency
requirements. The
Contracting Officer has determined that the circumstances of the contract action deem that only one source is capable of providing the services required at the level of quality required because the services are unique or highly specialized. A determination not to compete this proposed contract is based on market research and is solely within the discretion of the government. This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement. Any interested party that believes they can fulfill this requirement should submit supporting evidence to be reviewed. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above
requirements. This evidence shall include a letter from the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) stating vendor is an authorized distributor per clause 852.212-72(c). Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
