THIS NOTICE IS BEING ISSUED TO DETERMINE IF THERE IS SUFFICIENT INTEREST FROM QUALIFIED PRIME CONTRACTORS who are small businesses, HUBZone small businesses, woman owned small business concerns, 8(a) small businesses, or service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses and who intend to submit a bid for this solicitation to allow for a set-aside in one (1) of these programs. Ensure that experience demonstrates constructing highway bridges. State whether your firm was the prime contractor or subcontractor on the project. Attention to detail will be required in achieving customer satisfaction in areas of road and bridge construction, traffic control, and timely completion of work. SR 35 serves as a 27‑mile highway providing access to the Gila National Forest, connecting SR 15 in Silver City to SR 152 in Mimbres. The proposed improvements include work at four locations along SR 35: Bridge 1330 — Milepost (MP) 0.5 Concrete box culvert — MP 4.65 Bridge 1873 — MP 5.2 Bridge 1876 — MP 8.42 Construction in Mimbres can be maintained through all seasons, but you must factor in cold-weather provisions for the winter months to ensure the integrity and quality of critical bridge and culvert materials like concrete and sealants. SCOPE OF THE WORK: The project includes reconstruction of three bridges and a concrete box culvert. Improvements would provide reliable and safe access to the Gila National Forest for local and regional travelers. Improvements to these structures would also benefit travelers by accessing residential and commercial properties along SR 35. Schedule A includes: The project includes demolition of the existing bridge and construction of three new simple-span, precast, prestressed concrete bridges: an 80‑ft simple span with precast prestressed I‑girders and a cast‑in‑place reinforced concrete deck; a skewed 55‑ft‑6‑in simple span using precast, prestressed voided slabs with a cast‑in‑place (CIP) concrete overlay; and a 36‑ft simple span using precast, prestressed voided slabs with a cast‑in‑place (CIP) concrete overlay. Bridge 1, a 80‑ft simple span: precast, prestressed I‑girders with a cast‑in‑place reinforced concrete deck. Bridge 2, a 55‑ft‑6‑in skewed simple span: precast, prestressed voided slabs with a cast‑in‑place (CIP) concrete overlay.
