The USGS Wetland and Aquatic Research Cent located in Gainesville, FL has a requirement to refurbish a 10,000-gallon elevated water tank. It includes the following:- Repainting Exterior: Pressure washing, surface prep (Surface Preparation Standards #2 & #3 Hand or power tool cleaning removes loose rust, paint, and mill scale), primer and polyurethane finish.- Repainting Interior: Tank draining (by others), abrasive blasting to (Surface Preparation Standards #10 Near-White Metal), epoxy prime/finish coats, weld/ladders stripe coat, debris disposal.- Ladder Repair: Remove old ladder, install new 10-ft steel ladder with welded standoff brackets, paint per interior spec.- Work will take place in the following county in Florida: Alachua -

Period of Performance is 30 days after notice to proceed is issued.- Request for Quotes (RFQ) 140G0126Q0123 will close May 22, 2026, at 10:00 am pacific time. - A site visit will be held on May 15, 2026, at 1:00 PM. (EST) CONTRACTORS ARE STRONGLY ENCOURAGED TO ATTEND THE SITE VISIT. For site visit information please refer to FAR Clauses 52.236-27 and 52.236-27A1.
