BACKGROUND/PURPOSE: The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC) is conducting market research to evaluate and determine available sources with competencies and capabilities to provide one (1) Electro-Magnetic Gradiometer Sensing System Hardware (EMG-SSH) device that is sensitive between 50kHz-750kHz and can make measurements in the picotesla range to enable detection and mapping of long linear subsurface conductors and that meets all specifications as provided in the DRAFT Description of Requirement (DOR) document. The DRAFT DOR is attached. Please note this is subject to change. North American Industrial System (NAICS) Code applicable to this sources sought is NAICS 334519, Other Measuring and Controlling Device Manufacturing. The Small Business Size Standard for this sources sought is 600 employees. The purpose of this Request for Information (RFI) is to obtain availability of vendors and to determine interest in participation before a Request for Quote (RFQ) is released for the required item. Not responding to this RFI does not preclude participation in any future RFQ, if any is issued. If a solicitation is released, it will be synopsized on the SAM.gov website.
