Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Chief AI Officer (CAIO) and associated offices requires contractor support to facilitate enterprise-level artificial intelligence (AI) management, standards, and strategic implementation. The Contractor shall provide a multidisciplinary team capable of managing the full lifecycle of AI use case review, regulatory compliance tracking, stakeholder engagement, data pipeline management, and governance product development – as well as a dedicated capability to assess VA’s enterprise AI landscape, prioritize investments, and drive scalable AI adoption across VA. This support will enable the VA to responsibly adopt, scale, and oversee AI technologies in a manner consistent with federal law, policy, and the best interests of Veterans and VA personnel. VA requires contractor support to meet these obligations across the workforce with widely varying degrees of AI familiarity and across program offices with distinct missions, cultures, and risk tolerances. This is a Request for Information (RFI) only issued for conducting market research. Accordingly, this RFI constitutes neither a Request for Quote (RFQ), Request for Proposal (RFP), nor a guarantee that one will be issued by the Government in the future; furthermore, it does not commit the Government to contract for any services described herein.
