Wi-Fi Services For Unaccompanied Housing Facilities

The Department of the Air Force, 18th Contracting Squadron (18 CONS), Kadena Air Base, Okinawa, Japan, is conducting market research to identify capable sources for the provision of commercial broadband internet and recurring Wi-Fi services for Unaccompanied Housing facilities at Kadena Air Base. The

objective of this requirement is to acquire commercial internet installation, activation, maintenance, and recurring high-speed Wi-Fi broadband services for designated facilities. The contractor shall provide all necessary labor, materials, equipment, and support required to install, configure, activate, and maintain reliable broadband services utilizing existing commercial infrastructure where feasible. This notice is issued for informational and market research purposes only and does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP), Request for Quote (RFQ), or commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or award a contract. The Government anticipates that this requirement may be competed among capable vendors operating within the local area and existing infrastructure environment. Interested vendors may submit capability statements demonstrating their ability to meet the Government’s technical, operational, and security

requirements for providing commercial internet and Wi-Fi services at Kadena Air Base. Responses should also address the vendor’s ability to utilize or integrate with existing infrastructure in a manner that is advantageous to the Government and not cost prohibitive. As such, the government intends to only solicit offers from local sources that are currently offering commercial services at Kadena Air Base. Information received in response to this notice will be used solely for market research and acquisition planning purposes, including determining the availability of qualified sources and the most appropriate acquisition strategy in the best interest of the Government.
