Description

Pursuant to VAAR 819.70, the Department of Veterans Affairs, Strategic Acquisition Center - Frederick (SAC-F), intends to negotiate a sole-source purchase order/contract with Louis Fitzgerald, DBA Nexus Universal (UEI: ZE8UHD1JY497), a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business, for the continued provision of Tele-Interpreter Services. This effort is a continuation of services currently being performed under Contract 36C10X21P0115. Nexus Universal has provided foreign language translation services into English during live telephone calls under this contract since 09/20/2021. That contract expires 09/20/2026, and the Department intends to award a follow-on contract to Nexus Universal for continued performance of the same scope of services, without interruption to the interpreter services relied upon by VA staff and beneficiaries. Nexus Universal is a verified, certified SDVOSB concern with an established performance history providing these services to the Department. Continuity of the incumbent's trained interpreter network, established call-handling procedures, and demonstrated performance record support the award to Nexus Universal to avoid a lapse in this ongoing service.
