The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers – New England District is issuing a Pre-Solicitation Notice for Chemical Vegetation Control, Knightville Dam and Littleville Lake, Huntington, MA

QUESTIONS REGARDING THE PROCUREMENT WILL NOT BE ANSWERED DURING THE PRESOLICITATION PHASE. SUBMIT

QUESTIONS TO THE CONTRACT SPECIALIST AFTER THE SOLICITATION AND ASSOCIATED DOCUMENTS HAVE BEEN POSTED. The work consists of: Provide all materials, labor, and equipment for performing all operations necessary to complete the following work: Knightville Dam 49 Knightville Dam Rd. Huntington, MA 01050 Spot spray entirety of Dam rip rap. Contractor shall apply foliar herbicide treatments to all Spillway ground areas to ensure 100% coverage and that no herbaceous species can grow. Approximately 19.5 acres Treatment of Japanese Knotweed along upstream roadside (old Route

112) for approximately 3 miles with a 25’ buffer on each side of the road. Any patches of continuous Knotweed that are within the 25’ buffer shall be treated even if parts of the Knotweed patch are outside of the 25’ buffer. Total area is approximately 3.5 acres Spot spray for Poison Ivy in three sections along the entrance road and recreation area. One section to the right of the entrance gate approximately 540 sq ft. Another section along the entrance gate to the lower river area approximately 1100 sq ft and a section in the recreation area above a parking lot approximately 3600 sq ft. Littleville Lake 32 Goss Hill Rd. Huntington, MA 01050: Spot spray entirety of Dam rip rap and Dike rip rap. Contractor shall apply foliar herbicide treatments to all Spillway ground areas to ensure 100% coverage and that no herbaceous species can grow. Approximately 18 acres. Spot spray for poison ivy at the Littleville Lake Boat Ramp along the boundary rocks and gate approximately 1080 sq ft. Spot spray for poison ivy next to the downstream entrance gate approximately 850 sq feet. Spot spray for poison ivy along two drainage ditches, the northern portion being Approximately 1200 sq feet and the southern section being approximately 890 sq feet. Spot treatment of invasive species north of entrance gate downstream of the dam. A section of knotweed and other invasive species approximately 0.16 acres in size. Dayville – Kinne Brook Rd. Chester, MA 01011 Spot treatment of invasive species along roadside for approximately 0.5 miles of with a 25-foot buffer on each side of the road, including parking lot. Spot treatment of invasive species in all grassy fields as designated by the attached maps. This is not a request for quotes at this time. The solicitation

This procurement is set-aside for small business vendors. The applicable NAICS code is 561730 with a Small Business Size Standard of $9.5 Million.
