Description

This is a notice of intent to solicit from a single source. The US Geological Survey (USGS) intends to award a purchase order to TELONICS INC. The award will be made in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Products and Commercial Services, and the applicable simplified acquisition procedures.Staff at Grand Teton National Park (NPS) and the National Elk Refuge (USFWS) jointly conduct multiple wildlife tracking projects involving species that routinely move between the two jurisdictions. These interagency efforts rely on standardized data formats, shared processing code, and integrated visualization tools that have been collaboratively developed and refined. Maintaining compatibility with these systems is essential to ensuring continuity of operations, data integrity, and seamless interagency data sharingThe required radio collars must be fully compatible with the Governments existing software environment for data collection, transmission, and analysis. TELONICS is the only known vendor that provides equipment natively compatible with these systems. Other vendors products would require significant modification or replacement of existing software and processes, which would increase costs, introduce technical risk, and disrupt ongoing operations purpose. This notice is to satisfy the

requirements of FAR Subpart 5.2. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. However, all responsible parties may submit a capability statement which shall be considered by the agency. No solicitation will be issued. A determination not to compete this action based upon responses received is in the sole discretion of the Government.
