Description

THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT AND IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. The US Coast Guard Special Missions Training Center intends to award a sole-source purchase order using the procedures at FAR 12.102(a), as it has been deemed that only one source is available to meet this specific requirement due to the proprietary nature of the InVeris 100 mil Firearms Training Simulator and its associated weapon systems. These systems are manufactured and supported exclusively by InVeris Training Solutions, and depot-level maintenance, repair, and extended warranty services require specialized knowledge, proprietary parts, and access to technical data that are not available to third-party vendors. Only InVeris possesses the technical expertise, proprietary components, and immediate access to simulator parts necessary to ensure the continued operational readiness of the SMTC’s simulator systems. This purchase order is intended to be awarded to InVeris Training Solutions, INC for extended warranty service, depot-level maintenance, and repair for the InVeris 100 mil Firearms Training Simulator and associated simulated weapon systems. The

requirements document in the form of a Statement of Work is attached to this notice. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals or quotations.
