BACKGROUND: The Naval Medical Center Portsmouth (NMCP) Industrial Hygiene Department has a need to replace old noise dosimeters to be used for personal occupational noise exposure monitoring and data logging to ensure compliance with occupational health and safety standards. MUST be Intrinsically Safe (IS) Capable of personal noise dosimetry and continuous noise exposure monitoring. Data logging capabilities for continuous monitoring over multiple shifts. Data analysis software to allow for the download of data and generation of compliance reports. Capability for field calibration of the acoustic sensors. Microphone MUST be wireless.
