Verify on SAM.govIIJA Notice of Intent to Sole Source for service contract agreement for the NETL-owned LECO Corporation for the Renewal of Platinum Maintenance Plan for the LECO CHNS (POP 03/30/2026 - 03/29/2027).In accordance with Revolutionary FAR Overhaul (RFO) Part 12 - Acquisition of Commercial Products and Commercial Services, the Department of Energy (DOE), National Energy Technology Laboratory (NETL) intends to negotiate and award a purchase order on a sole source basis to LECO Corporation to purchase the Renewal of Platinum Maintenance Plan for the LECO CHNS (POP 03/30/2026 - 03/29/2027) because the maintenance ensures continued calibration of the equipment for consistent results and keeps the units operable within the NETL operating environment that is manufactured and proprietary toward only by LECO Corporation. LECO Corporation is the only vendor qualified to provide installation, adjustment, and training for their LECO CHNS. LECO Corporation ensures compatibility with the existing systems. This is considered a sole source to LECO Corporation because, to the best of the NETL’s knowledge, based on market research conducted LECO Corporation is the only known source that can provide this type of parts/service- service maintenance plans. No known potential alternate sources exist which could satisfy NETL's
requirements. This notice of intent is not a request for quote/proposal. Any interested party that believes it is capable of meeting the NETL requirement described herein may identify themselves and must provide evidence of their capability to fulfill the requirement being requested by 1300 PM ED on 03/16/2026.Responses must be submitted in writing to the Contract Specialist Shannon Lynch, via email at [email protected] no later than the time and date noted above.
