Description

the basis of Best Value for a new construction vessel that was already in production, with acceptance in November 2026. Commercial off the shelf (COTS) design is being used with minor modifications to meet Government

requirements (e.g. fuel, oil and potable water tank segregation; additional insulation and heaters added). Steiner Hull 1081 (USACE Name TBD) will be 100 ft long, 34 ft beam (width), draft of 8 ft 6 in, powered by 3 x 800 HP Tier III S6R2 Mitsubishi Diesel engines. Vessel with have berths for up to 8 crew and two 65 ton barge winches. Vessel will be used by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers - St. Paul District - Maintenance & Repair Section to move barges, floating plants and other equipment used in the repair and mainenance of locks, dams, and other Government assets. Vessel is being built by Steiner Construction Company Inc., 9195 Little River Road; Bayou La Batre, AL 36509 John Riederer to this opportunity.
