Department of Veterans Affairs, Columbia VA Health Care System (VAHCS) Medical Center is a 216-bed facility, encompassing acute medical, surgical, psychiatric, and long-term care. The hospital is in Columbia, South Carolina and provides primary, secondary, and some tertiary care. Satellite outpatient clinics located in Anderson, Florence; Greenville; Orangeburg; Rock Hill; Sumter, and Spartanburg, South Carolina. Contractor shall completely prepare site for building operations, including demolition and removal of existing structures, and furnish labor and materials and perform work to replace the existing site Domestic water and fire piping loop with a new system designed to meet the current VA standards and reduce service interruptions, accommodate future construction, and rectify domestic water and fire piping issues on the Columbia VAMC campus, as required by drawings and specifications.
