Description

Naval Surface Warefare Center Carderock Division (NSWCCD) intends to award a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract on a sole source basis to purchase services from Craneworks Inc. to support the Operations Department, Infrastructure Division weight handling program. Services include annual inspections, weight/load testing, monthly inspections, preventative/basic maintenance, service requests, and repairs.Craneworks Inc. is uniquely qualified to provide these services for the following reasons:Mandatory NAVFAC P-307 Compliance: NAVFAC P-307 (Management of Weight Handling Equipment (WHE)) is not a best-practice guideline; it is a strict, mandatory regulatory requirement for all Navy weight handling operations to prevent catastrophic failure, property damage, and loss of life. Craneworks Inc is currently the only known vendor possessing the full suite of mandatory NAVFAC P-307 certifications required to operate, inspect, and certify Navy cranes within a two-hour radius of NSWCCD. It is imperative that the company be within a two hour call out radius in the event that a crane requires urgent repairs in the middle of a WHE operation.Interested parties may identify their interest to this requirement by submitting a capabilities statement no later than 2:00PM July 24 2026. This notice of intent is NOT a request for competitive proposals. However, all responses received by 2:00PM on 07/24/2026 will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed purchase order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
