The Department of Homeland Security is procuring armed protective security officer services throughout the state of Michigan. The government intends to negotiate a sole-source contract extension with Triple Canopy, Inc. to ensure continuous critical security coverage and a 120-day transition period for a follow-on contract.
Provision of armed protective security officer (PSO) services and patrol services throughout the state of Michigan.
The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of RFO FAR 6.130-1 for Armed Protective Security Officer (PSO) services with Triple Canopy, Inc. (13530 Dulles Technology, Ste 500, Herndon, VA
20171) for up to four (4) months, July 01, 2026, through October 31, 2026, to allow time to solicit and award the follow-on contract, as well as to provide adequate time for the 120-day transition. This action will result in a modification to extend the ordering period of the existing indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity type contract to allow placement of a task order to continue critical PSO services throughout the state of Michigan. Task orders(s) will only be issued under this contract for the necessary length of time required, but not to exceed four (4) months. As such, this extension will allow time to complete the solicitation and award as well as provide an adequate transition period to the new effort for this requirement. Clarence C Grimes Alternative
