requirements, organic fabrication of electrical cable assemblies that are exposed to submergence sea pressure is required. To meet submersible cable assembly manufacturing
requirements of Reference 2.1, the associated submersible cable connectors that are molded into submersible cable assemblies must be coated with a Non-Conductive Coating (NCC) applied via Plasma Spray (Thermal Spray) to the
requirements of Reference 2.2. Current baseline conditions: Thirty-nine National Stock Numbered (NSN) electrical connectors have been received from Navy Supply without the required application of NCC.
