This notice does not constitute a commitment by the United States Government and does not obligate the Government to award a contract or pay for the information provided in response. Responders are solely responsible for all expenses associated with responding to this RFI. In accordance with FAR 15.101 (c), RFI, the Government does not currently intend to award a contract, but wants to obtain price, delivery, market, or capabilities information for planning purposes. Responses to RFIs are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of the RFI or otherwise pay for the information requested. Responses will be treated as information only and not as a proposal. Information received in response to this RFI will be safeguarded adequately from unauthorized disclosure. Scope of Work The Department of the Navy (DON) seeks information from qualified vendors to inform the development of a statement of work, baseline schedule, and cost estimate for the complete demolition and site clearance of Facility A-639 (Former NGIS Boca Chica) located at Naval Air Station (NAS) Key West, Florida. Building A-639 is a 21,665 SF three (3) – Story masonry constructed Navy Gateway Inn and Suites (NGIS) building located on NAS Key West (Boca Chica), originally built in 1954 and renovated around 1997 (1997 drawings are available upon request). The purpose of this RFI is to gather market intelligence on current demolition costs, logistical approaches to island-based waste disposal, hazardous material abatement strategies, and industry best practices.
