The Department of Defense is procuring maintenance and support services for drinking water systems to ensure safety and security at military bases and deployment locations. The work involves performing sample analyses of drinking water for various contaminants, which the current laboratory capabilities do not fully cover. Key requirements include the ability to conduct analyses in both operational and disaster environments.
As part of the DCPH-A mission, the Lab Sciences Directorate (LS) performs sample analyses of drinking water matrix in operating environments and military bases to ensure the safety and security of all who work there. The LS currently analyzes water samples for organic, inorganic, and biological organisms in support of the DCPH-A mission, however the LS does not currently have the analytical capacity to perform all required sampling analyses to include analyses on deployment locations and in natural or man-made disaster locations.
