BACKGROUND: The James

Haley Veterans Hospital (JAHVH) provides patient care for Veterans in the Gastroenterology and Bronchoscopy procedure suites, requiring safe and efficient transport between pre-operative, post-operative, and procedure rooms. Procedure chairs are essential for this process, as they allow for patient positioning adjustments necessary to perform a variety of medical procedures. Currently, the Gastroenterology and Bronchoscopy sections rely on outdated and frequently malfunctioning procedure chairs, which compromise reliability and efficiency. Replacement of these obsolete chairs is critical to ensure continuity of care, patient safety, and operational effectiveness. PURPOSE: The Gastroenterology and Bronchoscopy procedure rooms at JAHVH perform a wide range of critical diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. These procedures require patient comfort and proper positioning to ensure safety, accuracy, and effectiveness of care for Veterans based on their clinical conditions.
