Window Tinting Services for Austin Facility

The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Strategic Acquisition Center – Frederick, intends to negotiate and award a sole-source, Firm-Fixed-Price contract to La Place Glass Holdings, LLC, a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), for the procurement and installation of dual-reflective window tint in support of the VA facility located at 8000 Metropolis Dr., Bldg. B, Austin, Texas. The resulting contract will include a base period of ninety (90) calendar days from the date of award, with no option periods. This action is contemplated under the authority of 38 U.S.C. § 8127 and VAAR 819.7008, which authorizes VA

contracting officers to restrict competition to, or set aside an acquisition for, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses, and to make sole source awards to SDVOSBs when the applicable statutory and regulatory conditions are met. Basis for Sole Source The Government intends to award to La Place Glass Holdings, LLC on a sole source basis after determining that this SDVOSB is a responsible source capable of performing the requirement, and that an award to this firm is appropriate under the authorities cited above.
