OBJECTIVE: The Naval Research Laboratory is searching for potential sources capable of providing Research and Development (R&D) capability to the Electronic Sciences and Technology Division (ESTD) in key technical areas. The ESTD performs modeling, simulation, and design efforts to produce novel electronic device designs. These designs are realized in working devices through semiconductor growth and fabrication, and the device performance is measured in the characterization laboratories within ESTD. The ESTD researches technologies ranging from basic electronic materials to high-powered electronics, high-speed microwave devices, and optoelectronics, each with their own critical performance parameters such as efficiency of operation, responsiveness, and power output for terrestrial and space applications It is anticipated that a Request for Proposals will be issued in the near future. Answers to this RFI will be key in shaping certain aspects of the requirement.
