Description

Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Hosting and Compute Center (HaCC) data centers provide routine and mission-critical computer processing resources and support to the Department of Defense (DoD) and numerous government agencies on a 24 hours per day, 7 days a week basis. In support of this National Defense Mission, DISA utilizes a Building Automation System (BAS) as part of its tools to successfully operate and report on its facility infrastructure. All facilities covered under this contract currently have some level of BAS installed in them. The sophistication of the systems range from simple Direct Digital Control (DDC) systems to web based systems running on virtualized hardware consisting of over 30,000 data points. Typical mission-critical support equipment monitored and/or controlled by the BAS equipment includes chillers, air handlers, computer room air handlers (CRAHs), other air conditioning equipment, boilers, power distribution systems, emergency generators, and uninterruptible power supply systems. The

objectives of this requirement are to provide preventative, unscheduled, and emergency maintenance services in support of DISA’s mission and current BAS systems. In advancing DISA’s mission, new systems will be installed, current systems will be expanded, and contracts awarded as facility infrastructure

requirements change. The BAS systems are to be connected to future infrastructure information technology tools (provided as Government Furnished Equipment (GFE)) to assist DISA in its focus to provide managed, integrated, reliable tools for data center management. Examples of the tools include Data Center Information Management (DCIM), and Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). Rosalind Cherry Alternative
