and FW Roof ReplacementPRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE:The National Park Service, CONOPS – Central, intends to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the Replace Roof, Repair Wood Eaves on Frank Wallace and George Wallace Houses project at Harry S Truman National Historic Site in Independence, Missouri. Work consists of: The roof surface and wood eaves on the Frank Wallace (2,414 SF) and George Wallace (2,200 SF) Homes need to be replaced. The old asphalt shingle roof will be removed first. The contractor will examine the deck and determine if there is damage to the sheathing. They will also look for moist areas, or mildew, and rot and mitigate. Then the flashing will be examined and repaired or replaced. The drip edge and underlayment will be installed. Then the asphalt shingle will be replaced. This project will also repair and replace approximately 30 SF of wood rot on the soffit and facia on each home. The new wood will be primed and painted before it is installed.SOLICITATION NUMBER: 140P6026Q0046PROJECT MAGNITUDE: Between $100,000 and $250,000TYPE OF CONTRACT: This will be a firm-fixed price contract expected to be awarded to a prime contractor by June 2026 with performance to begin in Late Summer 2026.
