The existing sub-river cables are aging and at risk of failure due to the fact they're more than 30 years old. Establishing a secondary connection will eliminate the current single point of failure and improve reliability of service. The anticipated
contract type is a Firm, Fixed Price. The anticipated repair/rebuild completion date is
30 September 2026. The applicable North American Industry System (NAICS) for this requirement is 335921- Fiber Optic Cable Manufacturing, and the (PSC) is 6015- Fiber Optic Cables.
