The Richard L. Roudebush Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC) is in need of replacing fire hydrants, isolation valves and the required associated system components. The project also includes the addition of new isolation valves for specific fire hydrants. The
objective of this project is to safely replace existing isolation valves, fire hydrants and the required associated system components, and to add new isolation valves for specific fire hydrants, meeting the project specifications and the latest version of the applicable codes, standards and regulation, as detailed thereafter; the contractor shall also complete testing of the new components and cleaning of the affected water system sections. Â Definitization of Equitable Adjustments: Â When/if change orders are issued under the resulting contract, they will be issued under the following authority(s): FAR 52.243-5, Changes and Changed Conditions (JUL
2025) (Deviation), and VAAR 852.243-70, Construction Contract Changes Supplement (SEP 2019). Â The agency will follow the procedures located at FAR 43, VAAR 843 and VAAM M843. The
Contracting Officer will make the final decisions for items not addressed by regulation or policy. Â The agency's past performance, for the prior 3 fiscal years, regarding the time required to definitize equitable adjustments for change orders under construction contracts will be posted as soon as it is available. Â Additional Acquisition Information: Â All responsible sources may submit a quotation, bid, or proposal, as appropriate, which will be considered by the agency. Â At the time of submission of offers/quotes, and at the time of award of any contract, the offeror must represent to the
