Description

Two (2) Yokahama or Equivalent Submarine Fenders with the following technical characteristics: Dimensions: Nominal Diameter: 4.5 meters Nominal Length: 9 meters Construction: Outer Skin: High Strength Rubber Color: Black. Warranty: Minimum of two (2) year manufacturer's warranty ISO 17357-1:2014: Ships and marine technology — Floating pneumatic rubber fenders. Type: Heavy-duty, hydro-pneumatic fenders. The fender must be unsinkable and remain functional even if the outer skin is punctured. High-Capacity Kinetic Energy Absorption: Must absorb extreme dynamic loads generated during submarine berthing without transferring excessive kinetic energy back to the hull. Low Reaction Force / High Stand-off Protection: Must maintain low hull pressure to prevent damage to submarine. Any information submitted by respondents to this request is strictly voluntary. This is not a request for proposal, request for quotation, or invitation for bid, nor does its issuance obligate or restrict the Government to an eventual acquisition approach. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of responses from this RFI or pay for the preparation of any information submitted or for the use of such information. All information received from this RFI will be used for planning and market research purposes only. Respondents are advised that the Government is under no obligation to provide feedback with respect to any information submitted. All submissions become Government property and will not be returned. This RFI is issued solely for information purposes. It does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP) or a promise to issue an RFP in the future. This RFI does not commit the Government to contract for any supply or service in any manner. Respondents are advised that the U.S. Government will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred in response to this RFI; all costs associated with responding to this RFI will be solely at the interested parties’ expense.
