Annual Testing and Certification of Weight Handling Equipment

This is a solicitation for commercial services prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) subpart 12.201, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) Base Ketchikan has a requirement for annual inspection, testing, and certification of cranes, hoists, and other lifting equipment. The contractor shall provide all personnel, labor, materials, equipment, tools, supervision, and transportation necessary to perform the work as detailed in the attached Statement of Work (SOW). This procurement is a total small business set-aside under NAICS Code: 811310 - Commercial and Industrial Machinery and Equipment (except Automotive and Electronic) Repair and Maintenance. Background: United States Coast Guard (USCG) Base Ketchikan operates a wide range of weight handling equipment (WHE) to support its operational missions. To ensure the safety of personnel and the continued functionality of this equipment, annual inspection, testing, and certification are required in accordance with federal regulations and manufacturer standards. 1.2 Scope: The Contractor shall provide all-inclusive services to perform annual inspections, functional testing, and certification of the equipment listed in Section 2.4 of the attached SOW. This includes all travel, lodging, and per diem. This scope does not include repair services. 1.3

REQUIREMENTS/TASKS 2.1 Inspection and Testing: Inspect and test all equipment listed in Table 2.4 of the SOW in accordance with the compliance documents. 2.2 Certification and Reporting (Deliverables): Affix durable, waterproof certification tags to compliant equipment. Provide individual inspection forms for each device. Submit a consolidated Final Deficiency Report within five (5) business days of completing the inspection. 2.3 Equipment List: A list of 13 specific pieces of equipment including an Automotive Lift, Bridge Cranes, a Mobile A-Frame, a Mobile Crane, and various Monorail Hoists is provided in the attached SOW. 2.4
