As part of the contract solicitation, the Government intends to include the following sole source
requirements: Interior Finishes: The contract solicitation will include a brand name or equal requirement for finishes, such as paint, carpeting, and window coverings to complete or enhance the aesthetic experience of interior and exterior parts of a building. These finishes include colors, patterns, textures and textile designs. HVAC: The contract solicitation will include a sole-source brand requirement for Trane Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) equipment in the construction of new facilities at Joint Base Charleston. The agency head has determined in accordance with the agency’s standardization program that only specified makes and models of technical equipment and parts will satisfy the agency’s needs for additional units or replacement items. Fire Alarm Panel/Transmitter: The contract solicitation will include a sole-source brand requirement for Monaco BT-XM radio transmitter which is the only transmitter that will communicate with the systems at JB Charleston and is the only transmitter that is compatible with the current JB Charleston infrastructure.
