Original Award Date:
25 July 2023 BPA Number: FA930123A0005 Awardee: MEC INC, 4919 Contractor Rd, Edwards, CA 93523 Synopsis: This notice serves to announce a modification to the existing Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) FA930123A0005, originally awarded to MEC INC for Emergency Water Damage Restoration Services. The original BPA award was executed competitively by means of a 100% Total Small Business Set Aside for a contractor able to provide management, supervision, labor, materials, equipment, and supplies and responsible to perform efficient services. The purpose of this modification is to increase the total ordering ceiling of the BPA, as it represents a logical follow-on to the original order in the interest of economy and efficiency. As a result of inspections identifying mandatory repairs to remain compliant with regulations, it was determined a ceiling increase would be accomplished in order for fulfillment of mission
requirements to remain plausible for the remainder of the BPA
Period of Performance, through
24 July 2028. As the
requirements for this ceiling increase action remain in line with the Performance Work Statement and the completion of the repairs is time sensitive due to compliance deadlines, it has been determined to be most beneficial to the Government to proceed with a modification rather than to perform additional competition.
