Description

Peraton Government Communications, Inc. - Intent to Sole Source In accordance with The FAA Acquisition Management System (AMS), section 3.2.2.4, Single Source Selection, the purpose of this announcement is to inform industry of the basis for the FAA's decision to contract on a single source basis to Peraton Government Communications, Inc. for up to 10 months if all options are exercised (four (4) month option period and three two-month option periods.), thru January 31, 2027. This sole source award will mitigate operational risks of service failures and outages within the Alaska region while allowing additional time to complete the competitive re-compete process. It is critically important that the FAA maintains continued satellite network operation of inter-facility communications services within the Alaska region. The network provides Alaska with critical, essential and routine air traffic control telecommunications services. This satellite network uses primary and alternate satellites to meet FAA Order 6000.36 to provide system circuit diversity and redundancy, ensuring operational service continuity of critical, essential and routine air traffic control telecommunications services within the Alaska region.
