Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking the services of a qualified construction company to provide all labor, material, transportation, equipment, and qualified supervision required for the following project: Campus Wide Camera System (Construction). Located at: Central Virginia VA Health Care System (CVHCS), 1201 Broad Rock Boulevard, Richmond, Virginia, 23249. General Scope: The contractor shall completely prepare the site for building operations, including demolition and removal of existing cameras, and furnish labor and materials and perform work for campus wide security camera replacement as required by drawings and specifications. Work required is for the installation and performance of cameras and cabling, however additional construction trades are required to facilitate the installation of the cameras. These trades are largely limited to performing cutting and patching required to remove and replace cameras and install new cameras, cabling, and new conduit work, and provide a complete passive camera system as delineated in the project construction documents. The work shall be performed in strict accordance with construction drawings and specifications prepared by Department of Veterans Affairs. VAAR 836.204: Estimated construction magnitude is between $2,000,000 and $5,000,000. NAICS Code: 238210 - Electrical Contractors and Other Wiring Installation Size Standard: $19.0 Million. This solicitation is anticipated to be a Total Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) Set-Aside. In accordance with Public Law 109-461 and VAAR 819.7003 (b), offerors must be registered and certified in the SBA Certification database as a SDVOSB. Only offers from certified SDVOSBs in the SBA database at the time of offer shall be deemed eligible for award. Network Contracting (NCO

6) intends to issue an Invitation for Bid (IFB) and award a single, firm fixed-price contract. Solicitation material will be available on/about April 9, 2026. Any specifications, drawings, and amendments will be posted on the System for Award Management (SAM) Contract Opportunities website (https://sam.gov/opportunities). The Contract Opportunities website is the only official location to obtain solicitation information and documents. Bids will be due approximately 30 days after issuance of the solicitation. Only one site visit will be scheduled. The site visit is tentatively scheduled to be held on/around April 18, 2026. Exact date, time, location, and point(s) of contact will be identified in the solicitation. All interested bidders are highly encouraged to attend the scheduled site visit to note existing conditions, take rough measurements, etc., necessary for proper bids.
