Description

The Missile Defense Agency (MDA) intends to solicit, negotiate and award a sole source contract modification under statutory authority 10 U.S.C. 3204 (b)(B) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(iii), Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency

requirements. An acquisition strategy is approved to solicit and negotiate with only one source, the Raytheon Company, in support of extending the ordering period for an additional three years through October 31, 2030, and increase the stated maximum value by $773.5M for a total of $2.246B. This would permit procurement of spares replenishment, and continuation of AN/TPY-2 development. The MDA has a requirement to develop, deploy, and sustain the Forward-Based Missile Defense System (MDS)

requirements. The RDC supports ongoing development activities necessary to maintain and enhance the AN/TPY-2 radar’s critical mission. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. Any information received as a result of this notice will be considered solely for enhancing competition in a future competitive procurement. All respondents must be registered in the System for Award Management via https://www.sam.gov. The Government will not pay for information submitted.
