Sam Houston, Texas 78234, intends to award a Firm-Fixed-Price, sole source contract to Becton, Dickinson and Company under the authority of FAR 16.507-6(b)(2), for purchases not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold (SAT), only one source reasonably available, urgency, exclusive licensing agreements, brand name, or industrial mobilization. This requirement is for the annual maintenance of (2) Beckman Dickinson automated microbiology systems in support of Department of Pathology and Laboratory (DPALS) located at BAMC.
