The U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) is seeking information from qualified businesses regarding commercially available Interactive Electronic Technical Manual (IETM) Viewer solutions and S1000D Common Source Database (CSDB) capabilities. The USCG’s
objective is to modernize its technical data environment to improve the accuracy, accessibility, and usability of maintenance and operational information across platforms and assets. The USCG is interested in solutions that: Render and manage technical content, including wiring data, maintenance procedures, Illustrated Parts Diagrams (IPDs), operator procedures, and descriptive content. Operate effectively in both online (connected) and offline (disconnected/low-bandwidth) environments. Integrate with S1000D CSDBs or other structured content repositories used by the USCG. Support applicability-driven content filtering and linking to external USCG/DHS systems where appropriate. Respondents may propose commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) IETM viewer products, integration services for deploying and configuring the IETM viewer, or a combined product-plus-service approach. The USCG encourages concise, focused responses and will use the information received to refine its
requirements and acquisition strategy for potential future solicitations. This Request for Information (RFI) is for planning purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation or a commitment by the Government to award a contract. Yvonne Green Alternative
