Shimadzu MALDI TOF Repair Service

This Sources Sought Notice is issued solely for market research purposes. The Government intends to award a repair service contract for a Shimadzu MALDI TOF instrument (Serial Number 60509/09) to Shimadzu Scientific Instruments, Inc. on a sole‑source basis. At this time, the Government is seeking information from vendors who may be capable of performing this requirement in order to support a competitive procurement. The repair requires four replacement parts: Axima ACP Viewing Optics Assembly upgrade kit, DSP control PCB (replaces AE4433AB) Launchpad 2.9.8 or higher required, Service/Spares ACP PC Kit Z2G9 (With Monitor), Transient recorder PCB – New. The U.S. Government highly encourages all interested businesses (large and small) to respond to this source sought synopsis. In addition, small businesses, in all socioeconomic categories (including, 8(a) Business Development Program, Small Disadvantage Business, Historically Underutilized Business Zone, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned, Women-Owned Small Business concerns), must describe their identifying capabilities in meeting the

requirements at a fair market price, i.e., information which may help support a set-aside. The proposed sole source firm fixed price contract will be to Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET). The statutory authority for the sole source procurement is 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) as implemented by FAR Part 6.302-1 -- Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency. This notice does not constitute a Request for Quote (RFQ)/Invitation for Bid (IFB)/Request for Proposal (RFP) or a promise to issue an RFQ, IFB or RFP in the future. This notice does not commit the U.S. Government to contract for any supply or service. Further, the U.S. Government is not seeking quotes, bids or proposals at this time and will not accept unsolicited proposals in response to this source sought notice.
