The purpose of this notice is to conduct market research to determine an acquisition strategy for the establishment of Cepheid Reagents for a base year contract plus four 1-year ordering options. Pathology & Laboratory Medicine Service needs to procure reagents and consumables for the Cepheid GeneXpert System currently used at the Cincinnati VA Medical Center (CVAMC), Pathology & Laboratory Medicine Service (P&LMS). This analyzer performs Influenza A (Flu A), Influenza B (Flu B), Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV), Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2 (SARS-COV2), and Group A Streptococcus (Strep A) testing. Only cartridges manufactured by Cepheid will work with this analyzer. It is proprietary in nature, and the configuration is such that only a specific cartridge will fit into the analyzer. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting , is conducting market research to determine if there are any Large Businesses and if there are a sufficient number of Small Businesses capable of performing the
requirements to warrant a set-aside. The proposed solicitation is to furnish all materials, labor, and transportation required to provide reagents and consumables to the Department of Veterans Affairs, CVAMC. The Contractor shall also comply with any other federal, state, and local laws applicable to the industry.
