The Department of Veterans Affairs is procuring a rental chiller for the White River Junction VA Medical Center. The contractor is required to provide mechanical and electrical connections to integrate the chiller with the building's systems. This procurement is set aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses.
The contractor will provide a rental chiller and is responsible for the mechanical and electrical connections to integrate the chiller into the facility's existing systems.
This amendment is to answer the following question: Question: Will we need to include mechanical and electrical tie in/install in our quote? Answer: The contractor should include the lines to connect the chiller to the building taps, and be able to connect themselves. As for the electrical, I m not quite as familiar with the standard, but I believe they should provide the wiring up to the panel, and then work with our electricians to tie in. One gentleman I spoke with said they would provide a connector that our electricians could wire into the disconnect, and the chiller just plugs into said connector.
