The Department of Homeland Security is procuring Armed Protective Security Officer services for the state of Arkansas. The contract will be awarded to North American Security, Inc. for a period of up to four months, from July 1, 2026, to October 31, 2026, to ensure continuity of critical services while a follow-on contract is solicited and awarded.
The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of RFO FAR 6.130-1 for Armed Protective Security Officer (PSO) services with North American Security, Inc., (1701 S. Kelly Avenue, Edmond, OK
73013) for up to four (4) months, July 01, 2026, through October 31, 2026, to allow time to solicit and award the follow-on contract, as well as to provide adequate time for the 120-day transition. This action will result in a modification to extend the ordering period of the existing indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity type contract to allow placement of a task order to continue critical PSO services throughout the state of Arkansas. Task orders(s) will only be issued under this contract for the necessary length of time required, but not to exceed four (4) months. As such, this extension will allow time to complete the solicitation and award as well as provide an adequate transition period to the new effort for this requirement. Angela Varlow Alternative
